Bank of America: Student Leaders- Due Jan. 31st, Through our Student Leaders program we connect more than 300 community-minded high school juniors and seniors from nearly 100 communities to employment, skills development and service. They're awarded paid summer internships with local nonprofits such as Boys and Girls Clubs of America and Habitat for Humanity and participate in a national leadership summit in Washington, D.C. The Student Leaders Summit focuses on skill building and creating a more civically engaged society.
Momentum Alliance -Paid opportunity for youth of color (ages 15 - 19) passionate about “racial equity” and local government. Are you interested in exploring how government can be more representative of youth of color and social justice values? Do you live in Multnomah, Clackamas, or Washington County? If your answer is yes to the above questions you should apply to be a part of a group of 15 youth who will meet with 6 - 8 Metro staff once a month (at least) from Feb - June to explore how government can work towards "racial equity" and be more accountable to youth of color.
